What Makes Your Heart Sing?
It’s a lazy Saturday afternoon, and I’m idly trawling through Facebook, when I see an advert for a quiz to help you work out what you were born to do – in other words, what makes your heart sing. So I decide to go with it. There are quite a number of questions to which you have to answer how much the statement is like you or not. Then you get your answer.
My ‘Sparketype’, or Heart’s Desire
Turns out my primary ‘Sparketype’ is Advisor. The description below tells me, among other things, that ‘it’s less about teaching a particular body of knowledge and more about the interactive process of guiding people, in a more personalized way, through a process of growth, problem-solving, application and achievement. Your true aspiration is not just to get them to the place they yearn to be, but to also help them develop their own inner-trust and self-reliance, so that, when the time is right, you can step away, watch them soar and engage with others who await a similar “intervention.”‘
So True!
Well, I couldn’t have put it better myself! OK, perhaps I could, being also a writer, but I have to say, it’s pretty accurate. I don’t try to push my clients in any particular direction, or show off my knowledge, or make decisions for them. My approach is to help you give thoughtful consideration to what your heart desires – where you are, where you want to be, what will make you happy, and how best to achieve it. Then with whatever help you need from me, you put together a plan, one which you want to follow. Each new therapy and technique I learn gives me more tools for this work, more ways to listen to the heart. And that’s ever more ways to see and say the things that need seeing and saying.
