Hi there. I’m Karen, and it’s my mission in life to help others who want to make changes to themselves or their life, but aren’t sure how to achieve them or need some help and support, or someone to be accountable to. As a Life Coach and Mentor specialising in spiritual growth and personal development, I will ask questions and share insights that help you think in ways you have never thought before. After all, as Einstein famously said, you can’t solve a problem from the level at which it was created. So getting a higher perspective on it can be vital to help you move forward. That’s where someone like me can help.

I’m a very experienced Holistic Therapist and Life Coach with certificates in 14 different therapies, based in Tunbridge Wells. I help my clients with life coaching and healing for any aspect of their life that feels out of balance. I been supporting clients for over 20 years, and I work with my intuition and a wide knowledge of what makes people feel stuck or in need of support. I’ve studied so many therapies because I’m endlessly curious about the many ways in which people can heal. So I use and combine a variety of techniques and therapies, as no single therapy will work for everyone. Techniques I use include life coaching and mentoring, hypnotherapy healing, Reiki classes and treatments, past life work, and menopause therapy (coaching and mentoring) and support.

Sometimes, all it takes to make a huge improvement in your life is the right conversation. Most of what we experience is influenced by our thinking, so as a life coach, my aim is to help you change your thinking, so you can change your life. No subject is too small or too large or too silly.

One of my hypnotherapy clients had a phobia of fruit, and many years later, she posted a comment on my Facebook page about how I’d helped her:

‘Having support from Karen Tucker when on a course a few years ago, I will vouch that she gives good support, kind and compassionate. So don’t hesitate. If you are tempted .. jump in! [She was] doing hypnotherapy to help me not be fearful of fruit and it sure worked. I still don’t eat much fruit but I haven’t since felt overwhelmed / sick at the sight of fruit. And I now buy and eat it when I fancy … it was a big moment in my life that to some people may seem strange but to me it was huge.’

Having navigated menopause and come out the other side relatively sane – and having found a way to lose some of the stubborn weight that the change in hormones had made it seemingly impossible to shift – I now offer knowledgable support to peri-menopausal women, with mentoring advice and coaching on nutrition, goal setting and achievement, and a listening ear that knows what they are going through. As a member of my employer’s (yes, I still have a day job for now!) Menopause Cafe, I’ve often been able to give tips and advice that’s helped other members. Menopause can be scary, worrying, and stormy, so it’s good to know you’re not alone, and that there are ways you can ease the symptoms. It can be hard to admit your fears to loved ones who are anxious and trying to be supportive, while worrying that they’re going to lose you. Linda came to me for Reiki to help her navigate cancer, but she left with so much more.

‘I have a secret fear that I can’t tell anyone around me – they’re being so great at supporting me through cancer, I just don’t feel I can add to their burden. But there’s a gremlin on my shoulder, telling me that one day, I’m just not going to wake up, and that’ll be that. I’ll simply disappear. It’s keeping me awake at night because I’m afraid I’ll disappear before morning.’

 We had this discussion before her first session, and during my Reiki work, I was shown an image of a blue angel. I told her this as she was preparing to leave, and her eyes opened wide. ‘I have a little blue angel figurine! I’m going to take it to all my chemo sessions now. Thank you so much!’  When she arrived for her second session, I could see that she was less stressed already, and she told me the blue angel was always with her. She’d been sleeping well and her fear had gone. It’s incidents like this that make being a therapist so worthwhile.

Supporting You

You may need to talk to someone outside the situation, who won’t judge, criticise, or tell you what to do. Or you may need thinking time, and someone to ask you the right questions – which is where coaching comes in. Without this support, it can be hard to discover what you want in life or to know how to achieve it. It’s not always easy to ask for help. But you are worth it, and so are your loved ones. Because when your life changes for the better, so do the lives of those around you.

You’ve been there for friends who needed help, but asking others for help can feel like a weakness. And some friends are more helpful than others – I’ve had the experience of friends getting indignant for me and making things feel worse, or trying to tell me what I should do, when they haven’t fully grasped the problem. My only agenda is to help you, and offer the empathy and compassion to help you find your way, which can come as a breath of fresh air after the sometimes suffocating response of those around you.

I offer my services from my home in Tunbridge Wells, but if you can’t visit me in person, we can work together over the phone, WhatsApp, Teams, Skype, Facetime etc, or even email. I can also send distant healing to you or to someone else, but please ask the other person’s permission.

Most of the modalities I offer can be combined with other therapies, and many complement each other. For instance, crystals can enhance a Reiki session; flower remedies can reinforce coaching goals; and Spiritual Healing at the end of a stress management session can help you leave feeling thoroughly relaxed and refreshed.

I have a large library covering spiritual and complementary therapy subjects, which my clients are welcome to borrow and read, and I also have tarot and oracle decks for intuitive readings to help point you in the right direction.
